The estate produces an extra olive oil, and also offers an exclusive hospitality service with charming houses. Massimago derives from the Latin AGIUM MAXIMUM - maximum benefit for the three sources that originate in the estate, and has always been considered very fertile, a real treasure. History: It has been in our Family since 1883, the first bottles date back to 2004, the company began making wine on the premises in 2007. Location: Mezzane di sotto (East Verona), Valpolicella region Surroundings: 28 Hectars, 10 of which are vines, 1200 olive trees and woodland. Variety: Corvina, Corvinone, Rondinella, Garganega and a very small percentage of Tannat, Syrah, Mourvedre and Merlot. Oenologist: Guido Busatto Philosophy: Organically grown. As for the wines: a wide complexity of aromas and a good balance between acidity and tannins. Production: 28,000 bottles of Valpolicella, Amarone and Valpolicella Superiore. Among the experimental labels are distinguished: Garganega purity (Garganega, one thousand two hundred), a strain of Valpolicella (Rosae saignee) and IGT made from a blend of pinot noir, merlot and syrah. Management: Camilla Rossi Chauvenet, a young agronomist is pursuing an ambitious plan to reach production of 50,000 bottles in the next 3 years.
